SOCIEDAD O COMPAÑIA MINERA. La compañía o sociedad ordinaria de minas es un contrato por el cual dos o más personas que pretendan explorar o explotar el suelo o subsuelo minero, acuerdan adelantar estas actividades y repartirse las ganancias y pérdidas resultantes. La sociedad o compañía será una persona jurídica distinta de los socios y deberá tener como objeto exclusivo o principal la exploración o explotación de minas.
