IDENTIFICACION DEL AREA DE LA LICENCIA. El área de la licencia para explorar en terrenos distintos de los de aluvión en el lecho y márgenes de los ríos actuales estará determinada por un polígono rectangular, cuyos lados deberán ser orientados geográficamente norte-sur y oriente-occidente. Si el área pedida hubiere sido objeto, en todo o en parte, de solicitudes o de títulos anteriores que comprendan los mismos minerales, la nueva solicitud podrá hacerse por un área de forma y extensión diferentes a las antes señaladas.
