El Procurador general de la Nación, por sí mismo o por medio de un delegado que designe al efecto, podrá intervenir en cualquier proceso criminal, asumiendo al Ministerio Público y desplazando al Personero Municipal, cuando la gravedad del delito o la importancia del proceso justifiquen la medida. Esta será tomada a solicitud del Gobierno nacional o de oficio por el Procurador, si lo estima conveniente.
