º Objetivos . El Instituto de Investigaciones en Geociencias, Minería y Química - Ingeominas, tendrá como objetivos la realización de investigaciones, principalmente de carácter interdisciplinario, en las áreas de geofísica, geología, recursos naturales no renovables, amenazas naturales, ingeniería geológica, química pura y aplicada y demás áreas afines, la asesoría en estos campos al Gobierno y al sector privado y la generación y la difusión de los conocimientos y de la información científicos y tecnológicos.
