Competencia para imponer la sanción. La sanción de destitución sólo será decretada por el Ministerio de Justicia, previo concepto del Director General de Prisiones. Las sanciones de amonestación severa, multa o suspensión, sólo podrán ser impuestas por los Directores de Establecimientos Carcelarios al personal de planta, en comisión o radicación. El Director General de Prisiones las aplicará cuando aquéllos se encuentren legalmente impedidos para hacerlo.
