El extranjero deberá suministrar los datos necesarios para la elaboración de su cédula de extranjería bajo la gravedad del juramento. Cuando el pasaporte presentare señales de adulteración o no reuniere los requisitos legales, la División de Extranjería del Departamento Administrativo de Seguridad (DAS) se abstendrá de expedir la cédula correspondiente sin perjuicio de adelantar la investigación respectiva.
