Si la petición de acuse de pago no se hace en el momento de la emisión del giro, el remitente podrá hacerla posteriormente, pero dentro del plazo de un año, a partir del día siguiente al de la expedición y previo pago de un derecho de $0.16 en estampillas postales. Tales peticiones se transmitirán a las oficinas pagadoras exclusivamente por el correo y por medio de una nota a la cual se adherirán las estampillas del derecho. CAPITULO VII Endosos de giros .
