Artículo quinto. El Instituto Colombiano de Seguros Sociales iniciará inmediatamente la actuación respectiva, hará las investigaciones y cálculos del caso y procederá a dictar la correspondiente Resolución, contra la cual procederá el recurso de reposición ante el mismo Instituto y la apelación ante el Ministro de Trabajo y Seguridad Social.
