Autoridades Sanitarias del Sistema de Vigilancia en Salud Pública . Para efectos de la aplicación del presente decreto, entiéndase por Autoridades Sanitarias del Sivigila, el Ministerio de la Protección Social; el Instituto Nacional de Salud, INS; el Instituto Nacional de Vigilancia de Medicamentos y Alimentos, Invima, las Direcciones Territoriales de Salud, y todas aquellas entidades que de acuerdo con la ley ejerzan funciones de vigilancia y control sanitario, las cuales deben adoptar medidas sanitarias que garanticen la protección de la salud pública y el cumplimiento de lo dispuesto en esta norma, así como adelantar los procedimientos y aplicar las sanciones a que hubiere lugar.
