El Ministerio de minas y Energía delegará a la CREG para que establezca mecanismos regulatorios para incentivar la respuesta de la demanda con el objeto de desplazar los consumos en períodos punta y procurar el aplanamiento de la curva de demanda; así como también para responder a requerimientos de confiabilidad establecidos por el Ministerio de Minas y Energía o por la misma CREG.
