Si el procesado reconociere francamente su participación en el hecho que se investiga, el funcionario continuará practicando las diligencias conducentes para adquirir el convencimiento de la verdad de la confesión y averiguar las circunstancias del hecho; interrogará al procesado acerca de si hubo otros autores o partícipes, si conoce algunas personas que hubieren presenciado o tuvieren conocimiento del hecho, y, en general, sobre todo aquello que pueda aclarar o confirmar la confesión.
