° Nueva elección. Cuando por cualquier circunstancia sea necesario efectuar nueva elección de Alcalde en un Distrito o Municipio, el Presidente de la República, Gobernador, Intendente o Comisario respectivo, según sea el caso, en el decreto en que designe Alcalde encargado, oído el concepto de los Registradores Distritales o Delegados del Registrador Nacional, convocará y señalará la fecha para la elección del nuevo Alcalde. Esta elección debe realizarse en día domingo y dentro de los dos (2) meses siguientes a la fecha de expedición del mencionado decreto.
