Para la obtención de la cédula o tarjeta, el extranjero deberá presentar su pasaporte con la respectiva visa y suministrar los datos necesarios para su elaboración. Cuando el pasaporte o la visa no se encuentren debidamente expedidos o presenten señales de adulteración, la División de Extranjería del Departamento Administrativo de Seguridad se abstendrá de expedir la cédula o tarjeta correspondiente, sin perjuicio de adelantar la investigación respectiva.
