º. El Instituto de Soledad tendrá como objetivos principales:

Ofrecer carreras tecnológicas que contribuyan al desarrollo industrial, agropecuario, social, ecológico y económico de la región.

Contribuir a fortalecer la formación de recursos humanos en materia de ciencia y tecnológia para brindar mejores oportunidades de trabajo a las juventudes del departamento del Atlántico y de la Costa Caribe.

Suministrar asesoría técnica y científica en lo concerniente al desarrollo social; económico y ecológico de la Costa Atlántica y del país.
