La elaboración del catastro jurídico fiscal se realizará de acuerdo con las normas técnicas establecidas por el Instituto Geográfico "Agustín Codazzi" (IGAC), con sujeción a la ley y los reglamentos. Desde el catastro no estuviere a cargo del Instituto Geográfico Agustín Codazzi (IGAC), en el acuerdo que se realice entre el respectivo gobierno departamental, distrital o municipal y el Gobierno Nacional para la ejecución de aquel en las zonas rurales o en las urbanas susceptibles de explotación agropecuaria, se fijará la asesoría o interventoría que en cumplimiento de las disposiciones prevista s en la ley corresponde al Instituto.
