Artículo primero. A partir de la publicación de este Decreto, deberán crearse en todos los Municipios del país Juntas Defensoras de Animales, integradas en la forma prevista en el artículo 1 de la Ley 5 de 1972. En los Municipios donde ya existieren Juntas Defensoras de Animales o entidades similares, elegirán entre ellos dos representantes adicionales de las Juntas que por la Ley 5 de 1972se establecen. En los Municipios donde hubiere dos o más Párrocos, designarán entre sí su representante en la Junta.

Parágrafo

Los miembros de las Juntas Defensoras de Animales ejercerán los cargos ad honorem.
