Unidad Especial de Desarrollo Fronterizo. Las Unidades Especiales de Desarrollo Fronterizo tienen como propósito crear condiciones especiales entre los municipios, corregimientos especiales y áreas metropolitanas pertenecientes a las Zonas de Frontera así declarados, que faciliten la integración con los municipios y comunidades fronterizas de los países vecinos, en especial, para el establecimiento de actividades productivas, el intercambio de bienes y servicios, y la libre circulación de personas y vehículos.
