La carrera tiene como finalidades inmediatas la selección y capacitación de los funcionarios y empleados al servicio de la administración de justicia, la estabilidad en el empleo, los ascensos dentro de la organización judicial mediante el sistema de evaluación de méritos, conducta y eficiencia, el otorgamiento de estímulos, la participación de funcionarios y empleados en programas de bienestar social que les aseguren niveles decorosos de vida y el progreso, la seguridad y el sano esparcimiento de los mismos.
