ARTICULO 57. Comandantes. Los Departamentos de Policía estarán comandados por Oficiales Diplomados en la Academia Superior de Policía, quienes representan al Director General de la Policía Nacional en la jurisdicción a que pertenecen y responden ante el Subdirector Operativo por la dirección y ejecución de la política, planes y programas relacionados con los servicios y el empleo de los recursos, de acuerdo con las normas que emita el mando superior.
