Ecopetrol S. A. además de los objetivos consagrados en el artículo 34 del Decreto-ley 1760 de 2003, podrá realizar la investigación, desarrollo y comercialización de fuentes convencionales y alternas de energía; la producción, mezcla, almacenamiento, transporte y comercialización de componentes oxigenantes y biocombustibles, la operación portuaria y la realización de cualesquiera actividades conexas, complementarias o útiles para el desarrollo de las anteriores.
