Ningún miembro de las Fuerzas Militares podrá usar simultáneamente más de una medalla "Francisco José de Caldas". A quien se le haya conferido más de una medalla, usará solamente la de categoría superior, en cuya cinta o Venera llevará las estrellas correspondientes a las de categorías inferiores que le hayan sido conferidas. Exceptuase de esta disposición la de categoría a "Profesor" que por tratarse de mérito diferente se podrá usar simultáneamente con la de alumno, si se llegare a poseer.
