La actividad del entrenador (a) deportivo (a), es de naturaleza pedagógica e interdisciplinaria; y tiene el propósito de desarrollar las capacidades de los practicantes de un determinado tipo de deporte o disciplina o modalidad deportiva de manera individual o colectiva, se desarrolla mediante la práctica organizada, planificada y controlada, bajo la orientación de principios de la teoría y metodología del entrenamiento deportivo.
