El Comité Nacional Técnico de Alimentación y Nutrición, tendrá la misma categoría de los Consejos Nacionales creados por el Decreto-ley 0550 de 1960, y por lo tanto será el organismo orientador del Gobierno Nacional en los asuntos relacionados con la alimentación y la nutrición en Colombia.
