Unidades turísticas son los bienes muebles o inmuebles o las empresas de que ellos formen parte, tales como obras de arte, edificios, monumentos, museos, bibliotecas, colecciones, telesféricos, cables aéreos, fuentes termales que por su naturaleza cultural o turística deben ser objeto de especial protección de parte del Estado o de los particulares, para preservarlos, controlarlos, rescatarles su valor o promoverlos.
