A partir del 15 de diciembre de 2013, las competencias asignadas al Fondo de Pasivo Social de Ferrocarriles Nacionales de Colombia, mediante el artículo 1° del Decreto 2721 de 2008 que adicionó el artículo 9° al Decreto 255 de 2000, serán asumidas por la Unidad Administrativa Especial de Gestión Pensional y Contribuciones Parafiscales de la Protección Social (UGPP).
