Este Decreto tiene como objeto modificar, actualizar y ampliar el marco de acción de la Comisión para el Desarrollo Integral de la Política Indígena del departamento del Cauca, creada mediante el Decreto número 982 de 1999, como parte del cumplimiento por parte del Gobierno Nacional de los compromisos adquiridos con esta población.
