El particular, o el funcionario publico que estando obligado a exigir la presentación de la Tarjeta de Identidad no lo haga, o la acepte con vigencia expirada, será sancionada con multa de tres mil pesos ($3.000.00) a favor del Tesoro Nacional, que impondrá la Registradora Nacional del Estado Civil, sin perjuicio de la responsabilidad civil o penal a que hubiere lugar.
