El Instituto de Fomento Industrial, de acuerdo con el potencial de desarrollo de las diferentes regiones del país, podrá invertir en sociedades cuyo objetivo principal sea brindar las actividades de "Parques Industriales", que permitan una rápida y racional localización de nuevas empresas y den en arrendamiento u ofrezcan financiación para la adquisición de tierras y construcción de los edificios industriales.

Parágrafo

Estas inversiones las hará el Instituto preferencialmente en zonas que presenten las características de menor desarrollo económico relativo, y en las cuales el Gobierno Nacional tenga especial interés de impulsar o incorporar a la actividad industrial.
