El trámite para la acreditación, tanto de programas académicos como de instituciones, se· desarrollará a través de las siguientes etapas: (i) la apreciación de condiciones iniciales, (ii) la autoevaluación, (iii) la evaluación externa por pares académicos, (iv) la evaluación integral y (v) la expedición del acto administrativo que concede la acreditación o formula recomendaciones a la institución.
