Los nacionales colombianos tendrán derecho a renunciar a su nacionalidad, la cual se producirá mediante manifestación escrita presentada ante el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores o los Consulados de Colombia, la cual constará en un acta, cuya copia se enviará a la Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil, al Departamento Administrativo de Seguridad, DAS, y al Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores.
