Art 6º. Si el Poder Ejecutivo estimare que la Compañía The Cauca Walley minning and constructing Company ha faltado al cumplimiento de alguna de las condiciones estipuladas en el contrato celebrado con ella el 6 de julio de 1879, prorogará hasta por cuatro meses el término para llenarlas, i, en caso de caducidad del privilejio, queda facultado para admitir nuevas propuestas de la misma compañía, i verificar con ella un nuevo contrato, siempre que ofrezca todas seguridades de llevar a cabo la empresa i rinda, documentadas, las cuentas de los productos del camino de herradura por el tiempo que ha estado a su cargo.
