Para generar, validar, ajustar y transferir la tecnología y prestar asistencia técnica se tendrá como base la clasificación de reas agroecológicas para lo cual el Ministerio de Agricultura, el Instituto Nacional de los Recursos Naturales Renovables y del Ambiente, el Instituto Geográfico Agustin Codazzi y el Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario coordinarán con las demás entidades del sector agropecuario el diseño y el manejo del sistema de información geográfico referenciado.
