Art. 3.° Los cuerpos que existen hoy en actividad, conservarán sus respectivas numeraciones, i por la Secretaría de Guerra i Marina se espedirán las órdenes convinientes para que ninguno de dichos cuerpos pase de doscientas cincuenta plazas, pudiendo existir algunos de ellos con número menor; pero cuidando de que la cifra total de dichos batallones no exceda de tres mil individuos de tropa.
