Definición. El Ministerio de Salud podrá intervenir o tomar posesión de las Entidades Promotoras de Salud para administrarlas transitoriamente, de manera total o parcial, cuando se pueda afectar gravemente la prestación del servicio, sin perjuicio del proceso de disolución y liquidación que sea necesario conforme las disposiciones legales.

Parágrafo 1

Para decretar la intervención de que trata el presente artículo se oirá el concepto previo del Consejo Nacional de Seguridad Social en Salud y el de la Superintendencia Nacional de Salud.
