El Director General de la Caja es agente del Presidente de la República y funcionario de su libre nom-bratnier.to y remoción. A más de las que Se señalen las leyes y estatutos correspondientes, el Director General cumplirá todas aquellas funciones que se relacionen con la organización y funcionamiento de la Caja y que no estén expresamente atribuidas a otra autoridad. Su responsabilidad, lo mismo que sus incompatibilidades, se rigen por las normas legales y reglamentarias pertinentes.
