Artículo quinto. El encaje legal del Banco de la República no será inferior al 25% del total de los billetes en circulación y al 15% de los depósitos exigibles a la vista o antes de 30 días. Entre estos últimos no se computarán los depósitos en moneda corriente a favor del Fondo Monetario Internacional en cuanto no excedan del 75% de la cuota colombiana en tal entidad.
