Seguridad en el transporte marítimo . El responsable de la aplicación del presente reglamento que involucre en sus labores el transporte marítimo, así como los capitanes y las tripulaciones deberán dar cumplimiento a las normas de seguridad en la navegación, de gestión para la seguridad operacional de naves y la prevención de la contaminación establecidas en la normatividad nacional, en los Convenios Internacionales Marítimos adoptados por Colombia, y en general, las que para el efecto expida la Dirección General Marítima o quien haga sus veces, teniendo en cuenta la naturaleza de las operaciones.
