Podrá contraerse matrimonio estando presente la mujer y el apoderado del varón, en la forma establecida en el Artículo 11 de la Ley 57 de 1887. En caso de inminente peligro de muerte de alguno o de ambos contrayentes se dará aplicación al artículo 136 del Código Civil.
