La Nación se asocia a la celebración del 55° aniversario de la fundación de Apía y destina la suma de treinta mil pesos ($ 30,000) como aporte para la construcción de dos escuelas, una en la cabecera y otra en el Corregimiento de Viterbo, correspondiendo a la primera veinte mil pesos ($ 20,000) y a la segunda diez mil pesos ($ 10,000).
