En caso de nacimiento a bordo de una nave, es obligación del que la mande, dar aviso a la autoridad política del puerto o lugar colombiano a donde llegue, a fin de que dicha autoridad prevenga al Notario o funcionario de la jurisdicción respectiva, para que proceda a extender el acta de nacimiento en el registro.
