Artículo octavo. Las sanciones de que trata el artículo anterior, serán impuestas por los Alcaldes, siguiendo el procedimiento señalado en el Decreto número 2735 de 1936, y las providencias que dicten tales funcionarios son apelables en el efecto devolutivo, así: La que profiera la Alcaldía Mayor del Distrito Especial de Bogotá, ante la Sección Jurídica del Ministerio de Salud Pública y las demás ante las respectivas Direcciones Departamentales, Intendenciales y Comisariales de Salud Pública, según el caso.
