Como homenaje a la memoria del prócer granadino, el Gobierno deberá tener concluido para tal fecha, un edificio para oficinas nacionales en la ciudad de Cúcuta. En dicho edificio se construirá un salón especial, que llevara el nombre de Santander, destinado a conferencias de divulgación cultural.
