Las penas legales son:

Penas principales:

Reclusión

Prisión

Arresto

Confinamiento

Multa

b)

Penas accesorias

1.

Interdicción del ejercicio de derechos o de funciones públicas, o del de ciertas profesiones actos u oficios.

2.

Sujeción a la vigilancia de las autoridades.

3.

Decomiso de ciertos objetos.

Se denomina penas privativas de la libertad la reclusión, la prisión y el arresto.
