Clasificación Única de Procedimientos en Salud (CUPS). Para la codificación de procedimientos se utilizará la Clasificación Única de Procedimientos en Salud (CUPS), la cual será de obligatoria aplicación en todo el territorio nacional en todos los procesos del sector que impliquen identificación y denominación de los procedimientos en salud. Dicha clasificación será actualizada de manera periódica por el Ministerio de Salud y Protección Social, para lo cual podrá consultar con las asociaciones científicas y otros actores del sistema.
