El Instituto de Investigación de Recursos Biológicos “Alexander Von Humboldt” tendrá su domicilio principal en la ciudad de Santa Fe de Bogotá, D. C. En todo caso, el Instituto tendrá una sede de trabajo en el municipio de Villa de Leyva, y podrá establecer otras sedes de trabajo en lugares diferentes a su domicilio principal, sobre la base de los programas que adelante.”
