Colaboración interinstitucional. Las oficinas encargadas de expedir pasaportes colaborarán con las autoridades competentes en las investigaciones que estas adelanten. Para estos efectos, dichas autoridades podrán consultar los archivos físicos y electrónicos de las solicitudes de pasaporte del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores según orden judicial, para que en sus instalaciones, puedan efectuar los estudios técnicos, grafológicos o las pruebas periciales que sean pertinentes.
