Los Suboficiales de las Fuerzas Militares y de la Policía Nacional en servicio activo, que opten título universitario de facultad oficial o privada aprobada por el Gobierno, en las especialidades a que se refiere el Parágrafo 1º. del artículo 15 de la Ley 126 de 1959 , podrán ascender al grado de Teniente o su equivalente en la Armada, previa aprobación de un curso de capacitación, con una duración de tres (3) meses, de acuerdo con la reglamentación que para tal efecto expida el Gobierno.
