º . La Oficina de Control de Circulación y Residencia - OCCRE -, podrá celebrar convenios con la Registraduría Nacional del Estado Civil, para efectos del diseño y las características de seguridad de las tarjetas de residencia temporal y permanente y para elaborar las tarjetas de residencia permanente.

Parágrafo

Cuando la Registraduría conociere de la defunción de un residente permanente hará la anotación respectiva y la comunicará oportunamente a la OCCRE.
