° El Congreso de Colombia reconoce los importantes servicios que el General Buenaventura Reinales prestó á la Patria en los diversos y elevados puestos públicos civiles y militares que desempeño; reconoce la entereza de carácter con que sostuvo la causa de sus convicciones, y cumple un deber de justicia al recomendar su nombre, como digno ejemplo de virtudes cívicas, á la posterioridad.
