Incurrirá en pena de presidio de tres a quince años: 1° El que fabrique moneda nacional o extranjera que tenga curso legal en la República. 2°. El que altere monedas legítimas que tengan curso legal en Colombia, dándoles apariencia de un mayor valor. 3°. El que, a sabiendas, introduzca al país monedas falsificadas o alteradas que imiten las que tengan curso legal en la República. 4°. El que, a sabiendas, ponga de cualquier modo en circulación monedas falsificadas o alteradas. 5°. El que, a sabiendas, las adquiera o reciba de cualquier modo.
